Week 06!!
Sunday, 27 November 2011 |20:27

Basically, this whole week was all about fine-tuning. Leader, Vanessa requested the camera movement scenes to be in comparison with the animatics. Thus, everything was as though it went back to square one; meaning I had to edit from Scene001 once again.

Problem faced: Animatics' timing seems to be too fast for actual camera movement.
Solution given: Tweeted the timing here and there to make it more appropriate.

Week 05 continues~
Sunday, 20 November 2011 |11:11

Two solid days were wasted this week since I was down with gastric pain :|
Nevertheless, Wednesday & Friday was still spent to edit the camera movements.

After I left my work [Camera movements of Scene001 to 006] in the server, I requested our team leader, Vanessa to check if everything's going smoothly by plan & these were the feedbacks given by me. With those feedbacks, I work on them to ensure that the camera movements were better & smoother.

Feedbacks
☆ Scene001 - Mailbox: To keep the camera angle from 00:00 to 00:02 facing the mailbox as though it is a zoom out from 00:00.

☆ Scene002 - Keyhole: The turn in camera movement from 00:07 to 00:09 was a bit sharp.

Scene003 - Photoframe: Camera movement seems to be too fast; Requested to match the pace with Scene_002. Also, to edit the sharp turn in the camera movement from 00:04 - 00:06 edit the sharp turn, making the camera slide pass the photoframes and turn smoothly. instead of it stopping and turning.

☆ Scene006 - Sheep: Don't tilt the camera from 00:01 - 00:02 when moving up as it is a bit dizzy.

Week 04~
Saturday, 12 November 2011 |19:48

The editing of the camera movements continue this week too! Initially, I had thought that the camera movements were to be done in a blocking method, but our mentor, Jim told me that there's no need for such a thing. Thus, this whole week, I edited the camera movements; making the tangents to either plateau or spline to show the smooth flow of the camera.

The problems I encountered most of the time were similar, such that I had to ensure that the camera moves in a steady pace without any sudden turn when focusing on the secondary props or vice versa, as well as how to enable it to turn in a smoother pace without having jerks in between the journey.

The movie clip shown below are the scenes edited for the whole of this week.

Week 3's all about camera movements!!
Friday, 4 November 2011 |09:23

For this week, I did simple stepped camera movements from Scene 1 to Scene 6.
Blocking Stage
Monday
Scene 1 - Mailbox: Popped corn Productions Title to be edited on the "red screen", then zoomed out to the mailbox with a glimpse of the house. After which, the camera will pan down the house, going to a close-up of the door, followed by the door hole.
P.S. Lighting was done & edited by Jerry.

Tuesday
Scene 2 - Keyhole: Going inside the keyhole, the audience will see a view of the staircase, then the camera will turn to the left to have a slight glimpse of the living room.

Wednesday
Scene 3 - Photoframe: The camera will then pan to a close-up of the photo-frames. After which, it will turn to the right, where it will pass by the cupboard and sofas.

Scene 4 - New Living Room: A wide view of the living room where it is still in a good state.

Scene 5 - New Clock: After the camera shows the audience a view of the living room, it will then zoom to the bottom then the top of the cuckoo clock.

Scene 6 - Sheep: A perspective view of the clock, where the sheep will then come out.
P.S. The sheep is not completed.
